Rating by category:
the newness of lots of items, modern clean bathrooms, the flower garden, the seating areas, sturdy modern funiture
maybe more seating is needed in the bar area and bar staff
Large car park, food was fine and free internet
Room (16) was too small with no table or chair. No air con meant leaving the windows open but the room was on the ground floor and faced the beer garden - very noisy until after 12:30 every night. I'm told at weekends wedding parties often go on until after 4am so be aware. No Wifi signal and the provided ethernet cable was too short to reach the bed - bring your own. The charge may be considered normal for a seaside town but way too much for the room.
Friendly and familiar atmosphere, caring personnel
The room overlooks to an accessible area so in order to maintain privacy the curtains needed to be closed all times
Friendly staff, nice open centre field with tables. Room small, but fine.
First time I experience powered doors, which slam with a bang if you don't hold them when they are closing. Don't see the benefit of this, as you only wake up customers and it's annoying when entering/leaving with luggage and baby.
Staff were extremely friendly.. Great breakfast.. Nice clean warm room too..
No wardobe in the single room but they did say they were getting one made..
The location was ideal for what I needed, ie. to get to Hayling Golf Club by 8.30. I was very satisfied generally.
Really airy and pleasant room, spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and quality furniture. Great shower and nice toiletries. Staff were very helpful.
Good food.polititness of staff
I was given room 6 when I came in May. I mentioned to the receptionist that the room was very hot despite opening windows. I believe that the room is located above kitchen. When I arrived this week, I was given room 6 again, I explained the situation and was moved to room 20 which I was awaken early due to the delivery vans delivering goods. My window was open because of the heat and perhaps I wouldn't have heard it. So next time time I book I don't want roomns 6 and 20
Efficient staff. room clean and very well presented.
Allocated room at front of hotel noisey due to busy road and could hear noise from kitchen area.
Welcoming staff, very pleasant quiet downstairs room, straightforward plumbing, good but not over-the-top-lavish breakfast, very attractive garden, easy parking, competitive price.
Incessant loud (much too loud) muzak in bar area, competing with inescapable television in the lounge !
The room was superb.
Noise!!! Downstairs, the room next door, the landing.
Staff prepared to do anything they could to make our stay with our 20 month old son easy and enjoyable
This is a nice hotel, for a short break, good breakfast.
The bar is open until very late so the rooms above are very noisy at night. Not recommended if you have an early start.
It was a comfortable and pleasant experience and I would come again if I was in the area.
The front door was locked when I returned AT 11:30 pm.
We stayed in the really large room No 1. The bathroom is very modern and also quite big. The place is quiet and the staff is friendly. A good place to stay, if you want to go to Portsmouth. Fast internet connection
We had problems to get hot water in the morning. As we had to shower with luke warm water, they gave us a 5 pound discount.
